Every MSU Basketball player who has stayed four years under Coach Izzo has played in the Final Four of the NCAA tournament. Under no other current coach is that true. On January 30, 2010 his winning percentage in Big Ten games ranks 1st all-time among league coaches with at least 10 years of service. Has appeared in 9 of the last 13 Sweet Sixteens Has appeared in 7 of the last 12 Elite Eights Has appeared in 6 of the last 12 Final Fours Tom Izzo broke a 1,270-game winning streak against the Harlem Globetrotters in 2000…. Izzo and MSU set a world record for single game basketball attendance in 2003 with 78,129 fans packing in Ford Field to watch the Spartans.

Justin Holiday scored 14 and added eight rebounds for the Huskies (26-10), who were stunned after leading scorer Quincy Pondexter picked up his third foul with 4:27 left in the first half. Pondexter didn’t score his first basket until 2:30 into the second half, and finished with seven points……Isaiah Thomas scored 13 before fouling out with 2:41 left. The Huskies had a nine-game win streak snapped. The Pac-10 tournament champions were trying to become only the fourth school seeded 11th or lower to reach the round of eight….key stat of the game Washington finished 22 of 56 from the field and was outrebounded 49-29…..The good news is the Huskies return 11 of 12 for next season
