COLTS vs. SAINTS

The New Orleans Saints are labeled the team of “Destiny”….well they are one game away from completing their dream….they beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in ot, to claim the NFC Championship…..

The Saints (15-3) will meet Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts (16-2) in the Super Bowl in two weeks in Miami. The Colts opened as 4-point favorites.

It’s the first time the top seeds in each conference made the big game since the 1993 season.

There were nine fumbles and two interceptions, and the biggest mistake belonged to Favre….. flushed from the pocket in the final minute, he seemed to have room to run to set up a field goal…. but slowed by a left leg injured in the third quarter, he threw cross-field and was intercepted by Tracy Porter at the 22.

That finished off Minnesota’s chance for its first Super Bowl trip in 33 years – and opportunity to win it for the first time after four defeats. The Vikings have lost five straight NFC title games.

The Indianapolis Colts showed why they were the best team in the NFL all season long, the Colts defense stepped up and stiffled the Jets offense in the second half….then Peyton Manning went to work, he completed 26 of 39 for 377 yds. and 2 td’s….

The four-time MVP threw three touchdown passes and the Colts rallied from an 11-point, first-half deficit to beat the New York Jets 30-17 Sunday in the AFC championship game.

The Colts (16-2) are now headed back to the NFL title game for the second time in four years and their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history…. better yet, they’re heading back to their lucky city Miami, where they’ve played all four of those games and won there twice

Receiver Pierre Garcon, who had 11 catches for 153 yards, both career-highs, and the go-ahead score raised a Haitian flag to honor his family and friends who still live there.

Final 4 Quarterbacks

The Conference Championships are upon us, and you have to ask yourself what QB has more to gain by winning……let’s take a look

Brett Favre

Brett da Balla'

Brett Favre will be selling more than Wrangler Jeans if the Vikes make it to the Superbowl and win, his star status will make him “King of the Midwest”

Drew Brees

WHO DEY....?

America loves an underdog……especially with a story to tell, Drew has the charm and charisma to sell anything…..if the Saints make it to the Superbowl and win look out….he could run for Governor of Louisiana…..and win!

Mark Sanchez

What's my Motivation??

Mark Sanchez…aka the Aztec Warrior….aka Mr. GQ……aka “The Sanchise”….(franchise)…..Eric Estrada in cleats…Mr. New York as a football player….but Mr. Hollywood if the Jets make it to the Superbowl and win…he will no doubt be a dual threat superstar, on the field and off!

Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning has already climbed that Superbowl Mountain, he has already placed himself in a good profitable position, Mr. Manning is just writing another chapter in his legacy….if the Colts make it to the Superbowl and win he will sell everything from Milk to Silk,….but you have to wonder about Mr. Perfect….remeber what happened to Tiger Woods!!

New Seahawk GM

The Seattle Seahawks find a new GM to go along with their new Head Coach, John Schneider from Green Bay…..

Schneider will just be general manager as he enters a new organizational structure in which the general manager will report  to CEO Tod Leiweke along with  Carroll. The working arrangement has been described as a joint-effort, and the Seahawks have not said definitively that the general manager will have final say over all personnel decisions. The Hawks have, indicated Carroll does not have final say in personnel beyond who makes the team on the 53-man roster………. . so, Leiweke will make the final call in instance in which the coach and general manager simply can not agree on a personnel move.

Schneider is one of four candidates Seattle interviewed for the position along with Reese Omar Khan of Pittsburgh and Marc Ross of the New York Giants.

John Schneider Resume’

1992 Packers intern under Ron Wolf
1993-’96 Packers pro personnel assistant
1997 Chiefs director of pro player personnel
2000 Seahawks director of player personnel
2001 Washington VP of player personnel
2002-’07 Packers personnel analyst to GM
2008-’09 Packers director of football operations
