Huskies steal a victory

The Huskies had their hands full Saturday against the Arizona Wildcats, it looked like Arizona had come up here and gotten a victory…..but that’s why the game isn’t over until the final horn sounds…Washington scored 15 points in 18 seconds late in the fourth quarter, the final points coming on a 37-yard interception return by Mason Foster of a pass that bounced off the foot of an Arizona player, to beat the Wildcats 36-33…….the Huskies were able to keep Arizona out of the end zone most of the night due largely to holding the Wildcats — who had been leading the Pac-10 in rushing at 223 per game — to just 77 yards on 30 attempts…..good job by the Husky defense!!…..The Wildcats outgained the Huskies 461-256, had 26 first downs to Washington’s 14, and held the ball for 39:19 (including 21:44 in the second half) to Washington’s 20:41……on offense for UW Locker threw for three TD passes, including a 25-yarder to tight end Kavario Middleton with 2:55 left to set the stage for Foster’s interception return with 2:37 remaining… Locker also had a season-high 90 yards rushing on 11 attempts, including a 56-yard run  in the open field for a TD in the first quarter….incredible play…Washington is now 3-3 overall, 2-1 in Pac-10 play, and it kept alive its hopes of reaching a bowl game…..up next for the Huskies a trip to Arizona St.
