PAC-10 BATTLE-HALLOWEEN IN EUGENE

Yanks take Game 2

Mark Teixeira and Hideki Matsui carried the Yankees to a Game 2 World Series win, Teixeira homered to center in the 4th, and Matsui homered to right in the 6th , Pedro Martinez pitched well but A.J. Burnett pitched slightly better.…..Game 3 Saturday night in Philly ……Cole Hammels for the Phillies and Andy Pettite goes to the mound for the Yankees.

Phillies take Game 1

Is it  Cliff Lee or Bruce Lee….whichever Lee he was last night he was very impressive, Cliff Lee dominated the Yankees with an array of pitches….he threw a complete 9 inning game gave up 6 hits with 10 k’s, dropping his post-season era to an amazing 0.54….also for the Phillies Chase Utley smacked 2 home runs one in the top of the third and another the top of the sixth…..also for the Phillies Ryan Howard goes 2 for 5 (2 doubles) with an RBI……..Final score 6-1 Philly…..Game 2 tonight in the Bronx…….Pedro Martinez vs. A.J. Burnett….if Martinez pitches well then the Yanks are in big trouble!
