BEARS @ SEAHAWKS

The Chicago Bears(1-1) come to town Sunday to take on the Seahawks(1-1)…..here are some stats on Da Bears….

Offensively the Bears are 25th in the league in scoring averaging 16.0 points per game……they are 20th in total yards at 313.5 yards per game……30th in rushing 65.0 yards per game……and 10th in passing at 248.5 yards per game….Jay Cutler has thrown for 513 yards, completing 59.5% of his passes 3 td’s and 4 ints, to go along with his 71.5 QB rating…..on defense the Bears are 5th in total yards allowed (267) and 10th for points per game allowed (17.5)…..Game-Time Sunday afternoon 1:15 pm pst……..Go Hawks!!

HUSKIES @ STANFORD SATURDAY

The Washington Huskies are preparing for the Stanford Cardinal this Saturday Game-Time 6 pm pst……for the Huskies Jake Locker is 63 of 105 for 811 yds this season he has completed 60% of his passes, with 5 td’s and 1 int, his passer rating is 138.7…..in the rushing department Chris Polk has 65 carries for 241 yds. and 1 td……receiving James Johnson leads the team with 16 rec. for 183 yards & 2 td’s…..the Huskies are third in the nation when it comes to 3rd down conversions, they are completing 60.42% , only Florida and South Florida are better……………the Huskies are allowing a Pac-10 high 5.4 yards per rushing attempt and 154 rushing yards per game and will get a  test Saturday against a Stanford team averaging 204.7 yards per game and 5.7 per attempt….. this  matchup looms as the key battle to the game….LB E.J. Savannah suffered another broken bone in an already broken hand early on against USC, but continued to play and says he shouldn’t be impacted this week……Veteran Huskies will surely remember that Palo Alto is the last road game the team won , a 27-9 win in 2007 in Tyrone Willingham’s only return to The Farm while coach of the Huskies……SERIES HISTORY: Washington leads 40-35-4.

Seahawks get smacked in the Bay

Frank Gore ran all over the Seahawks Sunday, he had a 79 yard run, and a 80 yard run on the day, he had 16 carries for 207 yards and 2 td’s……..for the Hawks Matt Hasselbeck was knocked out of the game by Patrick Willis of the 49ers…..Hasselbeck sustained a rib injury just before halftime and did not return…..Seneca Wallace did a good job as backup going 15 0f 27 for 127 yds. & 1 td……join JB & KB Monday for a more in depth look at the 28-10 loss to the 49ers.

Storm lose to Sparks

The Seattle Storm season has come to an end in the first round again, they lose to the L.A. Sparks 75-64, Lisa Leslie will play at least 4 more games before she ends her career, the Sparks will play the winner of the  Phoenix- San Antonio series, the Storm finish the season 20-14.
