The Seattle Sounders played DC United last night and beat them 2-1 to capture one of the oldest ttrophies in sports….the Us Open Cup, they are the second expansion team in cup history to win the title!!……Congrats to the Sounders!!
The Seattle Mariners take 2 out of 3 from the Anaheim Angels, they shut them out yesterday 3-0……Felix Hernandez went a strong 8 innings gave up no runs and struck out 6……Ichiro picked up 2 more hits in his chase for 200…..and David Aardsma picked up his 33rd save of the season…..up next for the M’s a trip to Oakland to play the A’s…currently the Mariners are (70-64) 8 games out of the AL Wildcard lead
