Miami Heat forward Micheal Beasley has reportedly checked himself into a rehab facility in Houston, for “various issues”….Beasley released a statement on his twitter account Friday that said:
“Feelin like it’s not worth livin!!!!!!! I’m done” and “I feel like the whole world is against me I can’t win for losin”

The Seattle Seahawks looked impressive on both sides of the ball Saturday as they beat the Denver Broncos 27-13…Matt Hasselbeck had a solid game going 16/23 for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns….Justin Forsett looked like a serious weapon catching passes out of the backfield, he had 7 catches for 58 yards…..rookie Deon Butler caught a 34 yard bomb in the first quarter for a touchdown…….Seahawks go to 2-0 in the preseason.

Usain Bolt continues to shock the world with his speed, he broke his own world record by 0.11 seconds, Mr. Bolt ran an amazing 19.19 seconds in the 200 meter final at the World Championships…..holy cow Batman…..19.19 seconds??this guy is simply amazing….to run a 19.19, just think in the next Olympics he has a chance to even take this amazing record to a new level!!

Walter Jones will have a second surgery in ( less than 9 months) on the same knee he had micro-fracture surgery on back in December, he is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery this morning….we hope all goes well for Walter….Marcus Trufant continues to sit out of practice and nurse his ailing back…..word is that he has a disc problem in his back and it will probably keep him out of the season opener September 13, against the St. Louis Rams….with Jones and Trufant out for the start of the season other players are going to have to step up and fill some big shoes for the Hawks!!

Brett Favre signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings reportedly worth $25 million for 2 years……$25 million….you may ask why so much for Brett Favre, he’s going to be decent but he probably won’t have league leading numbers…he will bring veteran leadership to a very good team…..but he will also probably throw many unnecessary int’s…..he will provide (sorely lacking) stability at a position for the Vikings organization…..but at the same time he is crushing the spirit of the two backup QB’s……so with Brett Favre it’s give and take….but you may still be saying to yourself $25 million……well let’s brake it down….Brett Favre jersey’s are already hot sellers in Minnesota….they will sell in other parts of the country…including Green Bay, Favre has a cult following in the G. Bay…..Vikings paraphernalia is going to get an extra added boost….radio & tv advertising for the Viking organization is going to get a boost…….ticket sales will see a spike….that means more revenue for the home games…parking….team shops…food & beverage….if Minnesota is smart they will market “Favre Fries“during home games….and these are just home games, throw in road games and somebody is making a pretty penny….so now ask yourself …..is that why Brett Favre is worth $25 million??…..
