Dog Days of Summer……Tube Socks vs. Ankle Socks
The tube sock,we all have worn them some people still wear them,plain white or multi-striped the tube sock will never go away…..do you pull them up to your knees, or do you roll them down……..do you wear plain white ones or multi-striped………how many of you have worn them with sandals…….or even worse how many of you have worn them with dress pants…..did you ever coordinate the multi colored- stripes with your shirt…..you couldn’t wear a red T-shirt and have blue & yellow stripes on your socks…..have you ever worn a pair so much that you wore a hole where the big-toe sits…….were you able to keep lint balls from forming on your tube socks…..were you ever yelled at by your parents to put house shoes on because you will get your socks dirty…..

The ankle sock……..I have to admit I did not like ankle socks until I got older, I was strictly a tube sock kind of guy, but one day I put on a pair of ankle socks and I never looked back, ankle socks are more comfortable, they let the foot breath alot better, they look cool when you wear them with shorts, they also don’t take up as much space in the dresser drawer like tube socks,they do look better with certain types of sandals……..guys you should never sport a pair of ankle socks with the little fuzz-ball on the heel….rip that ball off…and also make sure you lotion the backs of your heels when you are rocking ankle socks…….and also make sure you aren’t wearing high water pants with ankle socks not a good look.

Fractured Giant
- Lot of Bones in a foot!!
Houston Rocket center and the pride of China, Yao Ming is facing a career ending injury,because of an overgrowth of his bones/skeletal system Yao is very susceptible to fractures,and this also is a result from having bad blood circulation throughout the body. Yao Ming’s foot probably was not 100% healed from his last injury,thus causing a more serious fracture this time around, this will no doubt continue to happen(to his body) if he decides to continue playing basketball with all the physical play of today’s game Yao is really taking a huge risk, so are the Rockets.

GTN (206) Weekend in Review
Team U.S.A lost a heart braking game to Brazil in the Confederations Cup Final, after leading 2-0 at the half the Americans were looking at a huge upset……..but Brazil had other plans as they stormed back to score 3 goals and took home the Confederation Cup Trophy…..I have to say we are all proud of Team U.S.A no one expected them to even be in the finals.
The Mariners take 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers this weekend, Seattle (39-36) is now 3 games behind the Angels in the AL West,they also loose 3 rd baseman Adrian Beltre for up to 2 months due to shoulder surgery,the M’s travel to New York (43-32) and Boston (46-29) this week……..pray for them!!
Wimbledon is heading into it’s second week and the William Sisters are still on a collision course to meet in the Finals……on the men’s side the “Great American Hope”Andy Roddick is still alive, and Roger Federer is still dominating Wimbledon.
Golden State Warriors head coach Don Nelson released a statement Friday saying that we have no intentions of trading Stephen Curry at all, there were rumors that Curry might be traded to Phoenix for Amare Stoudamire.

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade Shaquile O’Neal to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic, this is the 5th team Shaq will play for in his 15 year career. Shaqille averaged 17.8 pts. and 8.4 rbs for the Suns this past season.

LSU Tigers claim 6th National Title….in Baseball
The LSU Tigers are NCAA Baseball champs again for the 6th time,they beat the University of Texas Longhorns 11-4 and won the series 2-1. LSU (56-17) broke the game open with a 5 runs in the sixth inning en route to the National Title, Texas finished the year (50-16-1)…….how they tied a baseball game I still don’t know………
